Courtyard Crops Are Thriving!
We were thrilled to return after the summer holidays and discover just how well the fruit and vegetables in our courtyard garden had flourished during the warm — and occasionally rather wet — break. As you can see from the photos, our plants have truly thrived! A huge thank you again to Esher Waitrose and to Mr and Mrs. Marsh (Mason's parents) for their generous donations.

Next week, we’ll be harvesting our produce, and we’d love to invite parents, carers, and any other members of our ECS community to visit our ECS Produce Stall straight after school on Thursday 11th September. If you fancy some tasty, home(school)-grown fruit and veg, do come along!
We’ll be setting up a table in the playground, along with an honesty box for any cash donations. All money raised will go directly back into our eco fund — so please bring along your coins and support a great cause!
If any families have any fruit and vegetables they would like to donate for the stall, please bring them in on Thursday.

Welcome back to the new school year!
It has been a wonderful first few days of the term, where the children and staff have shown great enthusiasm for the start of their new learning experiences. Welcome to all the new families to ECS. It is an honour to have you join the ECS community.
Over the first few days, we have reminded ourselves of our strong learning behaviours, important routines across the school and following our three school rules of 'Ready', 'Respectful' and 'Safe'. Learning is already in full flow in classrooms and the playground too.
In addition, in collective worship this morning, we announced the new House names for ECS. As part of their legacy to ECS, the previous House Captains chose the theme of trees, as trees play such an essential role in the world and 'make a difference'.
The new Houses are:
Ash (yellow)– previously Dignity
Birch (blue) – previously Wisdom
Chestnut (red) – previously Hope
Oak (green) – previously Community
As a celebration of their amazing learning (both in school and at home) and showing respect, kindness and courage, we know all ECS children will receive House Points throughout the year. We cannot wait to see the running totals each half term.
Kind regards
Mr Foley
Headteacher
